Customers always appreciate the longer battery life. It's one area where there's always room for improvement, regardless of device. Now, a report has hit the airwaves that says Samsung is considering increasing the battery capacity of the entry-level model of its next flagship Galaxy S23.
According to the website SamMobile citing a Korean server The Elec will have a standard model Galaxy S23 5% higher battery capacity than Galaxy S22. Whereas the Galaxy The S22 has a battery with a capacity of 3700 mAh, for its successor it should be around 3900 mAh. It's unclear at this point if the S23+ and S23 Ultra will also see an increase in battery capacity, although some recent speculation suggests that the next Ultra will have the same capacity as the this year's, i.e. 5000 mAh.
As for the "plus" model S23, its battery has recently received certification the Korean regulator. However, neither that nor the attached photo revealed what capacity it will have. Let us recall that u Galaxy S22 + it is 4500 mAh. Here, too, there would be room for a certain increase.
There is still a lot of time left until the introduction of the next flagship models of the Korean smartphone giant, which is expected to happen early next year. According to available leaks, they will not be practically different from this year's models - at least from the outside to differ.
If we will have 8 Gen 2 here too, I am not worried about the battery at all even with a smaller model, even if the capacity should not increase.
Samsung probably doesn't want to go back to technology from the last century. If memory serves me correctly, the last cell phone to be produced with a battery was the Alcatel 300 series.
