Are you also dealing with a constant stream of notifications when you really don't want to deal with them? You have two options to solve this – throw the phone out of the window (turn it off) or turn on Do Not Disturb mode. It is useful not only when you lie down to sleep, but also when you have a work meeting. Learn all about how to use Do Not Disturb on Samsung here.
You activate the mode easily, but that doesn't mean you have to force it manually. There is also a certain automation present here, when it turns on and off at a given time. Everything as you decide. In the beginning, it is therefore necessary to devote some of your time to it, but it will return to you in the future in maintaining proper concentration on the given task or in peaceful and undisturbed sleep.
How to activate Do Not Disturb mode on Samsung
- Open it Settings.
- Choose Notification.
- Scroll all the way down and select Do not disturb.
- Alternatively, you can go to the quick menu bar and tap on the icon here Do not disturb.
Activation is therefore relatively simple, but it is also advisable to define the mode according to your wishes, because by simple activation you will set predefined behavior.
How to use Do Not Disturb and its schedules
- So choose Do Not Disturb in the menu Add schedule.
- Now you can define here which days you want the mode to be active, as well as how long the mode should be on.
- give Impose.
Subsequently, you already see two plans, the first one will probably be sleep and the second one defined by you. You can add as many as you need. You can also get to the mode settings menu by long-pressing the icon in the quick menu bar.
You can see the plans below Exceptions. These are calls, messages and conversations that you want to exclude from the mode, so that even if you have the mode activated, you will be notified about this. For calls, it can be set, for example, that if someone tries to call you repeatedly, they will eventually "push through" the activated mode. There is also the possibility to determine the behavior of notifications and sounds, or the behavior of applications. Last offer Hide notifications after its activation, it will not even show visual notifications.
I would have preferred an automatic power off and on function like I had on the P20 Pro. It won't be here, or I didn't find it.
Unfortunately, exceptions from the Do Not Disturb mode do not work with the A33...
Totally useless. As long as they don't go there to set profiles like the old Nokias had, it's unusable. If I turn on do not disturb and I want only selected ones to be allowed, I have to put them in favorites. Which again kills the meaning and essence of favorites because I put all the alarms there, the PCO dispatch, but I never call them, so I don't want them to mess up my favorites. A couple of people from work and no one else is allowed to call me. And that is unfortunately not feasible.
Hi, I've been trying to add an exception for the alarm clock, but even though I've enabled all notifications for the Clock app in the exception, it won't sound. Could someone advise where the error is? Samsung A52. Thanks
Set in do not disturb mode. Exceptions/Alerts and sounds/alerts.
It's Tomáš: thanks for the advice, I'll try it. But I'm afraid that this will allow all sounds/notifications to be heard. I just wanted an alarm clock.
For example, I use an external wake-up app that first turns off the "Do Not Disturb" setting.
I fell asleep twice after the last update. Once to kindergarten with my son and the second time to work, even though I am not an employee, but I run a business. But! What the hell did the engineers at Samsung think of not ringing the alarm in silent/vibrate mode? 🤷 ♂️ Plain and simple. Why should I download a third-party application where it works as before on Galaxy A52 5g worked, before update? This just blows my mind...
I set a regular sleep mode, but I was rather surprised that it was turned on by sound, which is useless if you just went to bed earlier. But I can't turn this sound off. Can anyone advise?
After turning on sleep, all sounds are muted nicely, and after exiting sleep mode, the notification sound remains off, everything returns to the way it was before starting sleep mode, I just have to manually turn on notification sounds every time. don't know what to do with the team? (does this even in safe mode).
well thank you
