It was inevitable, but probably no one expected it to happen so quickly. Apple introduced the iPhone 14 Pro with the Dynamic Island element replacing the criticized cutout, and developers Androidu responded to bring a similar experience to devices with this operating system. And it's a success because the dynamic Spot title already has a million installs.

Dynamic Spot is a developer that calls itself Jawomo. He is already responsible for many interesting solutions for devices with Androiderm, when you, for example, in the title Notification light for Samsung displays the signal of a missed event around the front camera shot. Even though its portfolio consists mostly of original titles expanding the capabilities of the system and phones, dynamic Spot is of course a clear copy of Apple's solution.

Although the application is only in the early access phase, it is a clear success. It reached the first big milestone, and that was a million installs through the Google Play store. As can be seen, users Androidu are therefore very curious how the Dynamic Island element would look on their phones. Thanks to the open nature Androidu remains the ideal testing ground for new trends such as these, while a similar solution will save you considerable costs for iPhone 14 Pro.

Now it's also just an independent developer's app, but with how Samsung responded to the iOS 16 and changing the lock screen, it can be assumed that in One UI 6.0 we can easily expect Samsung's own "variable island" in a more official way. However, it is true that Spot's dynamic was a bit shaky after its initial launch, and only subsequent updates tweak it to make the title a better user experience.
