Google has officially unveiled its new flagship phones, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, and its first-ever Pixel smartwatch Watch. This happened almost half a year after he lured them at the Google I/O developer conference in May. The company didn't even have to present the news, because we knew everything we needed about them from various leaks, especially those from the last few days. It was actually just such a confirmation.

Pixel 7

Let's start with the Pixel 7. It is equipped with a flat AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6,3 inches (so there was a reduction of 0,1 inches year-on-year), FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 25% higher brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Compared to its predecessor, it is slightly smaller and thinner (specifically, it measures 155,6 x 73,2 x 8,7 mm, while the Pixel 6 is 158,6 x 74,8 x 8,9 mm), and its back is made of glass and the frame from aluminum. It is powered by Google's new Tensor G2 chip, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal memory.

Like last year, the camera is double with a resolution of 50 and 12 MPx (the second is again "wide-angle"). To zoom in on photos, the phone again uses the main sensor and AI function Super Res Zoom, which has been improved thanks to a more powerful chipset. The front camera has a resolution of 10,8 MPx (however, it does not have autofocus, as some leaks previously suggested). The equipment includes an under-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers and NFC.

Due to the smaller dimensions, the phone has a smaller battery, specifically with a capacity of 4355 mAh (for the Pixel 6 it is 4614 mAh). It should last around 31 hours on a single charge, with the Extreme Battery Saver mode up to 72 hours. The battery otherwise supports fast wired charging with a power of 30 W, 20 W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Of course, he takes care of the software operation Android 13. The Pixel 7 will be available in black, lime and white and will hit the market on October 13. Its price will start at 650 euros (roughly CZK 15).

Pixel 7Pro

The Pixel 7 Pro received a curved AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6,71 inches, a QHD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of 10-120 Hz. Its dimensions are 162,9 x 76,6 x 8,9 mm, so compared to its predecessor it is 1 mm smaller in height and 0,7 mm wider in width. Here, too, the back is made of glass and the frame is made of recycled aluminum, and the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. In this case, the Tensor G2 chip complements 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128-512 GB of internal memory.

Like the Pixel 6 Pro, the camera is triple with a resolution of 50, 12 and 48 MPx. However, there are two significant improvements - the "wide" has a larger angle of view (126 vs. 114 °) and the telephoto lens supports up to 5x optical zoom instead of 30x on the predecessor (and up to 10,8x digital zoom with Super Res Zoom). The front camera has the same resolution as the standard model, i.e. 5000 MPx (and again only has a fixed focus). The battery has a capacity of 30 mAh and supports 23W fast wired charging, 7W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The Pixel 13 Pro will be available in black, white and teal, and like its sibling will go on sale on October 900. Its price will start at 22 euros (about XNUMX thousand CZK).

pixel Watch

As for the Pixel watch Watch, Google equipped them with a 1,2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 450 x 450 px, brightness, peak brightness of 1000 nits and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display also supports Always On mode. Their case is made of stainless steel, so they should last. At first glance, they impress with their relatively large thickness, which is 12,3 mm (for example, u Galaxy Watch5 that is only 9,8 mm). Their size is 41 mm.

The watch is powered by Samsung's Exynos 9110 chip, which is several years old and debuted in its first generation Galaxy Watch. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 294 and should last all day on a single charge.

pixel Watch otherwise, they have a heart rate sensor, as well as an ECG and SpO2 sensor (the latter is only supported in selected markets). Google boasted that it worked with Fitbit to develop algorithms for overall more accurate health tracking. The watch is said to even be able to tell the user when it would be appropriate to rest and regain strength. They can also be taken to the pool as they are waterproof up to a depth of 50 m. They support a total of 40 exercise modes.

Other equipment includes GPS, NFC for paying via Google Play (or other payment services), eSIM and Bluetooth 5.0. Software-wise, the watch runs on the system Wear OS 3.5.

pixel Watch will, like the new Pixels, go on sale from October 13 and will cost 380 euros (about 9 CZK; version with Wi-Fi) and 300 euros (about 430 CZK; version with LTE). It was confirmed that they will be more expensive than Galaxy Watch5.
