Google finally officially introduced last week phones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. In the case of the latter, he highly praised the new generation of the Super Res Zoom function, which, according to him, brings the 48MP telephoto lens to the level of SLR cameras. Now he has posted some samples to prove his words. It can be compared to Samsung's Space Zoom Galaxy S22 Incredibly ?

The first preview features Manhattan's tallest building, One World Trade Center. The first image shows it in ultra-wide, the second in standard, unenlarged format. Then there are gradual zooms, up to the 30x zoom level (magnification up to the 5x zoom level is provided by the optics), when it is possible to see the tip of the antenna in solid detail.

Starting at 20x zoom, the phone uses a new machine learning upscaler that powers the Tensor G2 chipset. From the 15x zoom, the Zoom Stabilization function is automatically turned on, allowing the user to "shoot handheld without a tripod".

The second example is the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, where fine details of the mast can be seen at the highest zoom. While both demos are certainly impressive, the Pixel 7 Pro's telephoto capabilities can't match what it has Galaxy S22 Ultra. The current highest "flag" of Samsung offers up to 100x zoom meeting, thanks to which you can have a nice close-up look at even the moon.
