Truth Social, an app backed by former US President Donald Trump, has been greenlit by Google and is available for download in the store Google Play. It took several months to get approved because it had to resolve content moderation issues.

The Truth Social social network, which resembles the Twitter platform (from which Trump was "expelled" last year), appeared in the Apple store at the beginning of the year. It is only now available in the Google Play Store because Google previously found problems with the moderation of user content. For example, the software giant feared that posts inciting violence could appear on the platform.

All apps in the Google Store must have strict user content moderation policies. These policies must also prevent the posting of illegal content and content that may incite violence or incite hatred.

Truth Social describes itself as a platform that "encourages open, free and honest global conversation that does not discriminate against political ideology." In addition to the Google Play and App Store, it is also available in the Samsung store Galaxy Store. So not in our region, so if you want to try this network, you need to switch to US region.
