Although Samsung already on the phones of its current flagship series Galaxy S22 released a total of four beta versions of the One UI 5.0 superstructure, but did not reveal all of its new features. Some of them like Galaxy Quick Pair and Bixby Text Call, revealed at last week's SDC22 (Samsung Developer Conference). Now another feature has "surfaced" that has not yet made it to the One UI 5.0 beta.

During the opening speech at SDC22, Samsung showed various widgets of the One UI 5.0 superstructure on the screen. One of them was the battery widget, which is still available on smartphones and tablets Galaxy did not discover. The widget displays the battery level of the smartphone as well as connected accessories, including smartwatches, wireless headphones and the S Pen. It looks like there are two widget sizes: 4×1 and 4×2.

If you now want to check the battery status of your wireless headphones or smartwatch, you need to open the app Galaxy Wearable or use a separate widget associated with specific headphones. With the new widget, you can check the charge level of all devices connected to your phone at a glance. A similar widget has existed on Apple platforms for several years iOS and iPadOS, so it's good that Samsung is now bringing it to One UI.
