These days, Samsung is fully engaged in finalizing the development of the One UI 5.0 superstructure, which will be released to the general public very soon. At the same time, it continues to release its beta version for other phones Galaxy. And it seems that he has already started the development of version 5.1.

The Dutch Samsung published a blog yesterday contribution, in which he described some characteristics of the One UI 5.0 superstructure. But the note he attached to it is more interesting for us. It says that one particular feature will arrive with One UI 5.1, not 5.0. This feature is related to the lock screen customization options we saw in the One UI 5.0 beta, but it's not entirely clear which elements might be reserved for One UI 5.1 — if any.

Judging by the status of the One UI 5.0 beta version, all the new lock screen customization options should arrive with this version once it leaves the beta stage. And given that Samsung doesn't give any more to it informace, it's possible that the mention of One UI 5.1 is simply a mistake. At worst, Samsung might think that the new lock screen customization options (or elements of it) won't be ready for release to the general public as part of One UI 5.0. Thus, they could be moved to One UI 5.1.

Anyway, the mentioned post suggests that Samsung is already working on One UI 5.1. In fact, it is quite possible that its next flagship series Galaxy S23 it will be powered by One UI 5.1 software instead of One UI 5.0. In addition, a higher version of the superstructure could debut on it without first opening its beta program.

Be that as it may, we hope that the lock screen customization options we saw in the One UI 5.0 beta will be present in the final version. The one for the phones of the series Galaxy The S22 will arrive later this month (and maybe even next week).
