Samsung and TikTok have announced a new partnership to democratize music production and allow tiktokers around the world to showcase their talents and create music alongside renowned artists. The companies have announced a new music discovery format called StemDrop, which they describe as "the next evolution in music collaboration."

StemDrop will provide music creators with opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned musicians. The platform will launch on TikTok on October 26. Samsung and TikTok have partnered with Syco Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Republic Records. The platform will debut with a XNUMX-second edit of the new single by the well-known Swedish composer Max Martin, which Tiktokers will then be able to use to create their own mixes.

Once Martin's new song is available on StemDrop, TikTok users will have access to so-called stems, which are the individual components of a song, including vocals, drums, etc. Thanks to this creative freedom, they will be able to show their talent and turn a 60-second song into a collective creation. Samsung used this opportunity to promote the flexible phone Galaxy From Flip4. The Korean giant encourages TikTok users to use the FlexCam mode on it to create their own music videos.

Samsung has also implemented the StemDrop Mixer into the platform, a mixing desk that will allow tiktokers of all levels to experiment with melodies, harmonies and sound effects to create new mixes that they can share with others on TikTok.
