Google has never been serious about its own smartphones, maybe until now. Manufacturer Androidis pushing pretty hard with its new Pixel phones, and both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro deliver a lot of features Galaxy S22 at a lower price.

And according to the new news Google is just getting started. The latter is said to be doubling down on its hardware efforts, and Samsung is partly to blame. Google offers both phones and wireless headphones, smart speakers, watches, tablets, streaming devices, and even Wi-Fi routers. One of the stated reasons is the declining sales of smartphones of the South Korean manufacturer, and on the contrary the growing sales of Apple, while Google wants to fight Applem on its own, instead of being dependent on Samsung and other manufacturers Androidu.

Google also earns on iPhonech

Google is said to be worried about lower revenue from Apple's iPhones as regulators could end a deal between the two companies to put Google's search engine in iPhoneCh. But his search is just one of the many ways the company serves ads to customers, and is one of its biggest sources of revenue. Losing that revenue from iPhone users could be a problem for Google, and the more software giant is hoping that its hardware in the form of the Pixel portfolio can serve as a sure-fire replacement.

The report also says that Google could invest less in developing Google Assistant voice search for those devices it doesn't make itself. This shouldn't bother Samsung owners at all, because they have their own Bixby, even if neither the Assistant nor Bixby (and even Siri) speak Czech. However, Google is expected to continue developing the best services for some premium manufacturers Androidua Samsung is one of them (alongside Chinese companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus). Despite everything, Samsung is still the most important partner for Google, so the changes in its strategy may not affect Samsung fans completely.

It would take another player

Since Google is notorious for launching many products and killing many of them quickly (Chrome, DayDream, and Stadia), Samsung would be wise to keep its software services and platforms alive. Tizen is the world's most popular operating system for smart TVs, and SmartThings is a big name in the Internet of Things and smart home segment. Along with Bixby, Knox and Samsung TV Plus, the South Korean firm needs to keep improving them, or it will lose its position incredibly easily. Historically, we have already seen it several times.

We really wish Microsoft would return to the smartphone market with a mobile version of the operating system Windows, although it's probably too late for that. But the market would need a third player like the proverbial salt. According to the saying: "Two fight and the third laughs," but it might not be out of the question to try those monotonous waters Androidua iOS stir it up a bit.

For example, you can buy Samsung smartphones here
