Samsung added to the phones Galaxy with One UI 5.0 a number of new features and has now issued a separate press release for one of them. Specifically, this is the maintenance mode (Maintenance Mode).

Maintenance mode is only available on devices with One UI 5.0 (currently only on phones of the Galaxy S22) and its concept is very simple. Since Samsung only provides the ability to create multiple user accounts on tablets, it has come up with a feature that allows users to keep their data safe when they send their phone in for repair or let someone else use it.

When you turn on maintenance mode, it creates a separate user account that allows access to basic device functions, such as pre-installed apps, while preventing access to your photos, videos, and other sensitive data. In addition, it will disable the use of third-party apps and Samsung apps downloaded from the store Galaxy Store. After turning off the mode, any data or accounts created in it are deleted.

Maintenance mode is turned on very simply - just go to Settings→Battery and device care. Clicking "Turn On" will reboot the device in this mode, automatically creating a system log to help Samsung's repair team diagnose any issues (however, the user has the option to not have this log created if they choose).

Maintenance mode is turned off by tapping the appropriate button in the notification panel, after which the device will restart into "normal" mode. Exit mode requires authentication with fingerprints or other biometrics, so you can be sure that no one will be able to access your private information even if the device restarts.
