One of the main points about when introducing Galaxy The S22 spoke to the market, there were new functions of night photography. The company claimed to have significantly improved the low-light performance of its phones compared to the previous generation, so users can expect better images and videos in low-light conditions.

However, they have so far lacked the astrophoto camera features found in some high-end rival smartphones, most notably the Google Pixel range. And Samsung is now solving this problem with the updated Expert RAW app. The company announced that with a new update Expert RAW brings to Galaxy S22 functions related to astrophotography. Thanks to this, night photography enthusiasts can take clear pictures of stars, constellations and other phenomena in the dark night sky.

The new Sky Guide feature allows users to pinpoint the location of constellations, star groups and nebulae. The camera's advanced AI algorithms then use multi-segment and multi-frame processing to produce shots that look like they were taken with much more expensive and higher-quality equipment. The new app also offers a Multi-Exposure feature that allows users to take multiple pictures of the same scene and then overlay them on top of each other. Astrophoto and multi-exposure features are accessible in the Special Photo section of the latest version of Expert RAW.
