Nothing launched new wireless headphones Ear (stick). Compared to the previous Ear (1) headphones, they bring both improvements and some "deteriorations". Apparently, they are not intended to be their successors, and thanks to the shape of the case, they will appeal mainly to women.

The Ear (stick) headphones, like the Ear (1), boast a transparent design (more precisely, their leg is transparent). The case is also transparent, which has the shape of a cylinder and which at first glance resembles a lipstick. The case is also compact and fits comfortably in your pocket. However, this design is associated with a major drawback, which is the absence of wireless charging support (past headphones have it).

The new headphones also lack support for active noise cancellation, a feature that is taken for granted in many premium headphones and which the Ear (1) does not lack. Nothing tries to compensate for this shortcoming with a new dynamic 12,6mm driver that balances size and performance to allow comfortable use. Nothing claims that the headphones are designed for all-day wear.

The headphones also have an IP54 degree of protection, so they should withstand the occasional splash of water. In this respect, they are better than Ear (1) - they have resistance according to the IPX4 standard.

In addition, Ear (stick) supports a number of software functions. The new Bass Lock technology detects how much bass is lost depending on the shape and placement of the headphones in the ear canal, which should create better bass sound. As with previous headphones, Clear Voice technology is integrated in these to improve the quality of calls when there is a lot of noise around you. There's also a low-latency mode for games that starts automatically. You can also quickly pair the headphones with any androidphone using the Google Fast Pair feature. They are also compatible with the system iOS 11 and up. On both platforms, Nothing offers a new Nothing X app that lets you change equalizer settings and customize gestures.

When it comes to battery life, the manufacturer promises up to seven hours of listening time on a single charge, which time can be extended up to 29 hours using the case. This is comparable to Samsung's headphones Galaxy Buds2 that can withstand playing 7,5 or 29 hours. Ear (stick) will go on sale from November 4 and will cost approximately CZK 2. They are sold for a similar price on the old continent, for example Galaxy Buds Pro (you can get them here for just over 3 thousand CZK).
