One of the best and most equipped Android phones on the current market come from Samsung. Her turn Galaxy The S Ultra has every feature imaginable, including an incredibly versatile camera system. Especially the zoom options are then what the phone does Galaxy The S22 Ultra sets itself apart from the competition. But unfortunately it is also a very expensive device.

Galaxy The S22 Ultra currently costs CZK 31, when using cashback you can still save CZK 990 from this price, but not everyone has the opportunity to offer a device in return. But for example, the Google Pixel 5 Pro, which currently holds the 000nd place in the DXOMark photography ranking, costs "only" CZK 7, which is exactly CZK 2 less (even 26 less than the iPhone 990 Pro Max). . It also offers a long zoom, but in contrast Galaxy The S22 Ultra is only half as good (10x vs. 5x), but it can still get the best possible results. The other specifications of the Pixel 7 Pro are as well Galaxy S22 Ultra very similar.

Samsung currently on all phones Galaxy, which are not Ultra, provides a maximum of 3x optical zoom (same as Apple for iPhones). It's a series Galaxy S and also Z Fold4. The company advertises them as having 30x "cosmic zoom", but let's be honest - that's not exactly a usable feature, because it's simply not very usable considering the quality of the result. They are just empty marketing words. The Ultra models are therefore the only viable purchase for anyone looking for the best possible photographic options (perhaps even 108 MPx resolution) in Samsung phones, for which they have to pay a lot.

Money rules the world

The problem is that if you buy the Google Pixel 7 Pro, you get more for less, according to expert testing. Even the iPhone 14 Pro is ahead Galaxy S22 Ultra, but with Apple's current pricing policy, they are still slightly higher. But if you want the best possible mobile photography experience, are you really reaching for Samsung's Ultra range? In addition, Google can create quite impressive magic with its artificial intelligence and present algorithms with regard to photography.

Of course, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pixel 7 are half a year younger devices. Given Google's aggressive pricing policy, its solution appears to be the most reasonable investment, even if it has an unknown Tensor chip, lacks some One UI functions, and will only receive three updates Androidu, and it is only available as a gray import, because Google does not officially work here. It doesn't change the fact that money rules the world, and 5 thousand CZK from an Ultra or 10 from an iPhone is definitely not enough.

Two ways

There are two options Samsung could take to become more competitive. The first is, of course, a discount, even with the current flagship, not when it arrives Galaxy S23 Ultra. The second is the provision of top-of-the-line cameras to even lower models, i.e. at least of the same series. Now the Ultra model differs so much from the basic models Galaxy S22 doesn't have much in common. So if they shared his photography skills, many wouldn't have to spend for the extra added value of the Ultra, but they wouldn't lose out on the variability of the cameras. According to the leaks so far, there is not much evidence of this.

Just to add, the current leader of the ranking is the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, which has a 3,5x optical zoom and costs CZK 31 in our country. iPhone 999 Pro is in 14th position, iPhone 4 Pro is in 14th, Galaxy Snapdragon-powered S22 Ultra at 12th, with Exynos at 16th, shared with iPhonem 12 Pro Max, which is not a very good business card.
