You may have encountered this too, it may be useful to know how to fix the error if you encounter it anytime soon. As it seems, this is not an isolated matter and it can easily affect you too. The solution to when Disney+ is not working and giving you error 83 is not too complicated.

Especially when you want to watch your favorite show, getting an error can be really frustrating. It's even worse when you want to entertain your eager little ones and Disney+ doesn't even start. Most error codes are standardized and often refer to a specific problem that has (usually) a quick fix. Error code 83 is then one of the most common that Disney+ will show you. It usually means Disney thinks you're using an incompatible device, which of course is wrong since you've already watched so much content on it. It's somewhat illogical just because of the fact that you could install the app on an incompatible device.

But then there is another explanation. It can also be an anti-piracy measure that tries to stop the stream being obtained and then distributed online. And yes, of course we know that's not the case for you either. The most likely situation is that there was just a "crossing of some paths" and this caused some kind of glitch on the network (the application simply thinks that you are hacking on another device, even though this is not the case).

Restart the router

It happened in my case too. With the Disney+ app and offline saved shows, I went to the chat when I was in Galaxy The S21 FE turned off data (and Wi-Fi) and played the prepared content via HDMI on a "dumb" TV. Of course, this error can also occur on other devices with the platform Android or i iPhoneCh. But after returning home, I didn't launch the application, not in the way I would have imagined. Turning Wi-Fi off/on, updating the app, or restarting the device didn't help, which were the first logical steps. I didn't want to delete the application because I had other downloaded content in it that I would have to download again.

Even though the internet worked perfectly correctly on the phone, Disney+ didn't see the connection in the end. So I tried restarting the router and after the network came back up everything was fine. I didn't even have to ignore the network and log into it again on my phone. So this simple step caused the Disney+ app to load right away as it was supposed to when launched. So if you also get error 83 on your platform, simply restart your router and you're done.
