The problem is that the app pinning feature accessible from the recent apps screen doesn't help either, as it doesn't prevent touch typing within the title. And while there are third-party apps that can disable touch on the display, it's still scratching your left hand behind your right ear. Netflix is actually the only mobile video streaming app that I know of that has a built-in feature to lock the touchscreen while watching a video.

It's not automatic, but I use a lock for me and the children. vlc and mxplayer have it by default since their beginnings. I don't know what is bothering the author. Clicking on the lock is simple.
