Samsung continues to release useful applications for its phones and tablets. As part of the experimental platform, Good Lock has now released a new application called Dropship, which allows you to transfer files from one device to another. Works with others androidphones, and even iPhones.

Samsung has announced the launch of the Good Lock Dropship module in South Korea. Allows easy and fast file sharing between smartphones and tablets Galaxy, others androidphones and tablets, iPhones, iPads, and even the web. It uses an internet connection to transfer files across devices, so it's not as fast as Nearby Share or Quick Share (or AirDrop), which use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for this.

Once you install the app, it lets you choose the files you want to share and then creates a link and a QR code. It is possible to set the validity period for their availability. This all sounds good, but it has a number of limitations. The biggest one is the availability of the module - at the moment only users in South Korea can download it. Another limitation is the 5GB daily file transfer limit. Furthermore, it is necessary to have a Samsung account (specifically, only the file sender needs it).

The last limitation appears to be the requirement for Android 13 (One UI 5.0). In addition, Good Lock is not available in many countries (including the Czech Republic, however, it is possible to download it from various websites, e.g. apkmirror.com, including its individual modules, but not all of them work here) and it does not work on low-end phones. So we can hope that Samsung will remove at least some of these restrictions in the future so that the new app can reach as many users as possible.
