Samsung is one of the largest manufacturers of refrigerators in the US, but in recent years they "allegedly" have the largest number of complaints from customers there. Because of this, the government agency Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has now "lighted up" on the Korean giant. He informed about it websites USA Today newspaper.

According to USA Today, three out of four refrigerator safety complaints filed since 2020 have come from Samsung customers. And as of July of this year, consumers filed 471 complaints about the safety of refrigerators. This is the highest number since 2021.

While the CPSC has not issued a recall of the allegedly defective refrigerators or a warning, it was expected to confirm an investigation into Samsung last week. According to consumer complaints, the most common problems with the company's refrigerators are malfunctioning ice makers, water leaks, fire hazards, refreezing and food spoilage due to refrigerators allegedly running above safe temperatures.

“Millions of consumers across the U.S. enjoy and rely on Samsung refrigerators every day. We stand behind the quality, innovation and performance of our appliances, as well as our industry-renowned customer support. As our request for specific data from affected customers here has been declined, we are unable to comment further on any specific experiences reported by customers," a Samsung spokesperson told the newspaper website.

Meanwhile, customers unhappy with the alleged lack of support from the Korean giant have created a Facebook group. It now has more than 100 members, so its popularity far exceeds the number of complaints recorded by the CPSC.
