A few days ago we you informed, that Samsung released for the watch Galaxy Watch4 update that was causing them to become disabled for some users. Shortly thereafter, the Korean giant released her he stopped and promised to come with a new, repaired one soon. He has now done so. However, the new update seems to solve the problem only for some.

The problematic update carried firmware version R8xxXXU1GVI3, and some users who installed it reported on Samsung community forums in various countries that when they then Galaxy Watch4 or Watch4 Classic turned off or ran out of battery juice, they did not start again. Samsung responded almost immediately by stopping the release of this update and has now started releasing a new one that has a serious problem to address. Samsung launched it in the US and other countries and it carries a firmware version ending in GVI4.

The new changelog update improves system stability and reliability and includes the November security patch. The most important part, however, is the one that says "power management-related stabilization code has been applied," which is a fix for a problem caused by the previous update.

Unfortunately, it looks like the new update didn't completely fix the problem for everyone, at least according to the complaints that soon appeared on Reddit. Some users believe that the issue may be related to the age of the watch – models made around August of last year seem to be more affected than newer ones. Others advise as a solution to send the watch for repair or have it replaced (if it is still under warranty, of course). Considering all these reports, it looks like it's 50/50. Some users were helped by the new update, others were not.
