Earlier this year, Samsung launched its first QD-OLED TV, the S95B. It uses a QD-OLED panel manufactured by Samsung Display, the display division of the Korean giant. Now there is a news on the air that the company intends to increase the production of these panels.

According to website information The Elec Samsung Display decided to produce QD-OLED panels on its upcoming A5 line, which should focus on 27-inch monitors. The company is said to be seeking orders from various companies, including Apple, for their upcoming high-end monitors. Previously, Samsung Display supplied its QD-OLED panels to Dell's Alienware gaming monitor series.

The report also claims that the company wants to use a new deposition system for its new production line, which should reduce overall production costs. However, only time will tell if it will actually be able to win Apple's order for its next top-of-the-line monitor. The Cupertino giant's current flagship monitor uses a panel with Mini-LED technology, and to give it up, a QD-OLED panel must offer even better brightness while improving colors and longevity.

Recall that the first Samsung monitor to use a QD-OLED screen is the Odyssey OLED G8. It was introduced at the beginning of September.
