As you probably remember, Google officially a month ago introduced its new flagship phones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. It is currently working on the mid-range model Pixel 7a, which according to the latest leak will feature an improved display from Samsung.

The display supplier for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is reportedly Samsung's display division Samsung Display and new escape suggests that Google will continue to rely on it. The Pixel 7a should use its 1080p panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The leak does not mention what size the display will be. Introduced half a year ago Pixel 6a it also had a 1080p Samsung Display, but its refresh rate was limited to 60 Hz.

Samsung Display is one of the best suppliers of (not only) smartphone displays, so it's no surprise that Google maintains a close relationship with it. Samsung Display is also expected to supply displays for its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold. It should be launched sometime in the first quarter of next year. As for the Pixel 7a, it could be introduced in May 2023, considering its predecessor.
