She's been on the air for the past few months informace, that the next flagship series of Samsung Galaxy S23 it will exclusively use the Snapdragon chipset. Basically that confirmed even Qualcomm itself (although it has been speculated for some time that the line will be available with an Exynos 2300 chip in some markets). However, Samsung was mysteriously absent from Qualcomm's list of OEM partners at Wednesday's unveiling of its new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chip.

So it means that Samsung in the series phones Galaxy S23 won't use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip? Maybe not really, because a rumor began to spread through the virtual corridors that instead of this chip, the series could be powered by a special version of it. The standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 carries the model number SM8550-AB, while this alleged special edition number ends with the letters AC. It could be "high frequency" variant, which was mentioned a few months ago by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station.

Qualcomm also announced during its Snapdragon Summit 2022 event that Samsung has become an official partner for its Snapdragon Pro series and that the Korean giant's flagship smartphones are great for using Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. So it's possible that Samsung has a special "deal" with Qualcomm for a higher version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which could carry the Pro moniker.
