Widgets on the home screen have experienced a lot in the last year with the release Androidfor 12+ minor renaissance. Popular music recognition app Shazam has now redesigned its app to be more than just a shortcut to open it.
The old app widget was just a bigger shortcut to open it instantly. Version 13.7 brings a new widget that lets you "listen to music from Shazam right from your home screen."

Tapping the Tap to Shazam widget will now immediately start the music listening process, keeping users on their current screen. Once identified, the song, artist and album art will appear directly on the widget with a corresponding notification to allow you to share.
This widget is less intrusive for quick and random song identification when you don't want to leave what you're doing. It is possible to create a quick ID that you can "dive" into next time with a notification in the notification bar.

The default size of the widget that supports the Dynamic Color theme is 5x1, it can be scaled down to 1x1 like before when it turns into a vibrant circle. In addition, it can be stretched to full screen. You can now download Shazam version 13.7 from the store Google Play.
