Samsung introduced the phone in Japan Galaxy A23 5G. However, it is not the same as international version, which the Korean smartphone giant launched in the summer. Among other things, it has a smaller screen, only one rear camera and an IP68 degree of protection.

Japanese version Galaxy The A23 5G got a 5,8-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a clamshell cutout. It is powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset, which is complemented by 4 GB of operational and 64 GB of expandable internal memory.

The single rear camera has a resolution of 50 MPx and can shoot videos in Full HD resolution at 30 frames per second. The front camera has a resolution of 5 MPx and can record videos in Full HD resolution at 30 fps. As already mentioned, the phone boasts IP68 water and dust resistance, which is very unusual for a lower mid-range device.

The equipment includes a fingerprint reader located on the side, NFC, eSIM, 3,5 mm jack and Bluetooth version 5.2. The phone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. The software is built on Androidfor 12 and the One UI 4.1 superstructure. Its price was set at ¥32 (roughly CZK 800).
