While the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro is literally huge, Apple recently during your call revealed on Q3 2022 results that it could face supply chain issues during the holiday (Christmas) season. After all, it happened a little while longer, which he informed about printing press. Now, the situation is getting worse as the company is facing even bigger problems than it anticipated as there have been reports of massive strikes at one of the factories where its most important equipment is assembled – iPhone.

To be fair, even Samsung faced after the launch of the series Galaxy S22 by undersupplying the market as demand exceeded his expectations. But he didn't have the kind of problems that are pouring in now Apple, because Samsung just couldn't keep up. However, the American company is now being chased for recognition of a bigger blow, which it is practically unable to directly influence in any other way than by diversifying the supply chain and production itself, which is a really long shot.

According to several reports, employees of the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, China, are protesting because of unfair wages and dangerous working conditions. Several videos show clashes between masked workers and police. Thousands of them allegedly gathered in front of the hostels and clashed with the factory's security personnel, breaking windows and camera systems.

Foxconn allegedly advertised job vacancies across China and claimed it would pay workers CNY 25 (about US$000) for two months of their work. As thousands of workers from across the country arrived at the factory, the company said workers would have to work for four months to receive that wage. At the same time, many people left their regular jobs to go to the iPhone factory.

Meanwhile, China has imposed strict lockdowns in Zhengzhou as the country reports a higher number of fresh cases of COVID-19. Millions of people were confined to their homes or factory dormitories. Right before this one Apple warned in a press release - that the iPhone 14 series will have problems with its supply shortage in the 4th quarter of 2022, which poses a serious threat to Christmas sales, and which, by the way, has now been confirmed. The last quarter of the year is the strongest, and Apple it will take a lot of beating if it can't cover interest in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max in particular. Who does this clearly play into? Samsung of course.

When one suffers, the other gains

This situation with Apple could logically be very beneficial for Samsung. You don't want to wait for iPhone? Buy a phone Galaxy! The company has already started offering deep discounts on almost all of its popular products, including a range, as part of its Black Friday sale Galaxy S22, Galaxy From Flip4, Galaxy From Fold4, Galaxy Watch5, tablets, smart TVs, etc. Apple does not provide discounts, only offers a voucher for the next purchase on old iPhone generations (as well as on selected models Apple Watch, AirPods, iPads and Macs).

Samsung is also gearing up to launch a series Galaxy S23 early next year. It is expected to improve screen brightness, camera quality, computing power and connectivity, while improving energy efficiency with battery life. The company could also line up Galaxy S23 to bring a satellite connection similar to the one in the iPhone 14. And if it will Apple still suffer, Samsung will clearly profit. It will also be reflected in the sales statistics at the end of the year, when Apple's numbers will not look good and its shares will fly down, while Samsung will consolidate its position as the world's number one smartphone seller.
