While the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro is literally huge, Apple recently during your call revealed on Q3 2022 results that it could face supply chain issues during the holiday (Christmas) season. After all, it happened a little while longer, which he informed about printing press. Now, the situation is getting worse as the company is facing even bigger problems than it anticipated as there have been reports of massive strikes at one of the factories where its most important equipment is assembled – iPhone.
To be fair, even Samsung faced after the launch of the series Galaxy S22 by undersupplying the market as demand exceeded his expectations. But he didn't have the kind of problems that are pouring in now Apple, because Samsung just couldn't keep up. However, the American company is now being chased for recognition of a bigger blow, which it is practically unable to directly influence in any other way than by diversifying the supply chain and production itself, which is a really long shot.
According to several reports, employees of the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, China, are protesting because of unfair wages and dangerous working conditions. Several videos show clashes between masked workers and police. Thousands of them allegedly gathered in front of the hostels and clashed with the factory's security personnel, breaking windows and camera systems.
Foxconn allegedly advertised job vacancies across China and claimed it would pay workers CNY 25 (about US$000) for two months of their work. As thousands of workers from across the country arrived at the factory, the company said workers would have to work for four months to receive that wage. At the same time, many people left their regular jobs to go to the iPhone factory.
Meanwhile, China has imposed strict lockdowns in Zhengzhou as the country reports a higher number of fresh cases of COVID-19. Millions of people were confined to their homes or factory dormitories. Right before this one Apple warned in a press release - that the iPhone 14 series will have problems with its supply shortage in the 4th quarter of 2022, which poses a serious threat to Christmas sales, and which, by the way, has now been confirmed. The last quarter of the year is the strongest, and Apple it will take a lot of beating if it can't cover interest in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max in particular. Who does this clearly play into? Samsung of course.
When one suffers, the other gains
This situation with Apple could logically be very beneficial for Samsung. You don't want to wait for iPhone? Buy a phone Galaxy! The company has already started offering deep discounts on almost all of its popular products, including a range, as part of its Black Friday sale Galaxy S22, Galaxy From Flip4, Galaxy From Fold4, Galaxy Watch5, tablets, smart TVs, etc. Apple does not provide discounts, only offers a voucher for the next purchase on old iPhone generations (as well as on selected models Apple Watch, AirPods, iPads and Macs).
Samsung is also gearing up to launch a series Galaxy S23 early next year. It is expected to improve screen brightness, camera quality, computing power and connectivity, while improving energy efficiency with battery life. The company could also line up Galaxy S23 to bring a satellite connection similar to the one in the iPhone 14. And if it will Apple still suffer, Samsung will clearly profit. It will also be reflected in the sales statistics at the end of the year, when Apple's numbers will not look good and its shares will fly down, while Samsung will consolidate its position as the world's number one smartphone seller.
The S23 is just around the corner, so let's see what Samsung comes up with. Cashbacks and promotions are great, but it's always set up there in such a way that it doesn't appeal to me, like the S22 + a smaller version of the watch, why isn't there a bigger one? Or the watch, I guess GW 5, but the headphones again the old version? There is never the best together….
But still the price is worth it Apple more than great and the products hold their value, unlike Apple!
A co-worker was buying iPhone 12 PRO 256 + insurance, almost 40K and now after 2 years selling for 15K and no one wants that either! I bought Galaxy S21 with cashbacks for 14K and I resold this year for 12K so GREAT. That and the watch itself, a co-worker had an AW 7 45mm steel LTE, price 25K, he was selling it now and no one gave him more than 8 for it!!! I had GW4 on sale for 4500CZK, now sold for 3200CZK.
So if you want the best, for me it's Samsung or Pixel. The best and it holds the price and you don't bleed.
btw: And I'm not even mentioning that a colleague in "APPLE fever" also bought MB Pro 8/256 and after half a year he had to "upgrade", i.e. sell the old MBP and buy a new one, because the RAM and SSD cannot be changed there. The whole thing cost him over 100K a year, I am satisfied with things that are far more functional, better quality and at least 3 times cheaper. So in 10 years, a colleague will have more than a million for Apple shops in the grove and it just makes him nervous... 😀 I have to laugh at them, especially because they have to flex with an apple 😀
Maybe I don't have one iPhone from "flexing", but because it works great for me and is a great tool overall Apple ecosystem. Competition with such a functional and sophisticated ecosystem does not exist, there is no other option. On iPhone 14 Pro Max I was switching from a Samsung S22 Ultra. Yes, the price is quite a bit higher than Samsung's (when I take into account various cashbacks, etc...), but it also works completely, but completely differently. I use my mobile quite often to take photos of objects in motion, and the vast majority of my photos come out on the iPhone, the vast majority of Samsung photos are a complete mess, because compared to the iPhone, it has a terribly long shutter speed. And I could go on like this for several more pages. Besides, if I wanted to sell a year old 14PM, I'd be losing a few thousand. In addition, the Samsung during that annual cycle is able to reduce itself by 30-40%. And then want to sell such a phone. I bought the Ultra for 35 thousand. CZK in the 256GB variant. Now around 24 are sold. CZK (purchase + cashback), realistically I was not able to sell the phone at the bazaar for 17. CZK in new condition. I lost more than 50% on my phone in just half a year. With an iPhone, I would lose 20% at most during that time.
Shutter lag has long since been fixed.
Yes, it's still a ridiculously long deadline against an iPhone or Pixel. Samsung phones take pictures fine, but only of static objects.
only sock can think of "flexing". There are people around me who easily earn €10 a month, and I don't believe that a single one of them has the need to splurge on something as ordinary as a mobile phone. All your arguments are just a defense of the fact that you're a bully who doesn't have 000 iPhone. I'll leave it in a slightly better hotel for 3 nights.
