Samsung is not only known as a manufacturer of smartphones, TVs and other consumer electronics, it is also a manufacturer of high-end portable charging products. Its fast-charging power banks are among the best in the industry. Now, a new trademark has hit the airwaves, suggesting that the portfolio of portable charging products is about to expand.

As pointed out by the website SamMobile, Samsung has registered a trademark grade "Samsung Superfast Portable Power", indicating that it is about to launch new portable charging products for smartphones and other mobile devices.

The application for registration of the aforementioned trademark was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office last week. According to the classification, the protected name can be used for battery chargers for mobile devices or battery packs for mobile devices. So Samsung might want to use it for power banks or chargers.

The word "Superfast" in the name may indicate that Samsung wants to increase charging speeds for smartphones. Let us remind you that in this area the Korean giant has been lagging behind for a long time and that its fastest chargers have a power of only 45 W. Its rivals, especially the Chinese ones, can boast of several times higher charging power. But maybe Samsung is working on a "super-fast" powerbank.
