The next edition of the world's largest electronics fair CES will start on January 5, and Samsung, as usual, announced that it will hold a press conference within it (or rather, on the eve of its opening). He also hinted that his smart home ecosystem will be the focus of his attention.

Samsung has revealed the official invitation to CES 2023. Its press conference will be held on January 4 at the Mandalay Bay Ballroom in Las Vegas, starting at 14 p.m. local time. JH Han, head of the DX (Device eXperience) division, will deliver the opening remarks. The company's leitmotif for the next year of the prestigious fair is "Bringing Calm to Our Connected World". Underneath is probably an improved connected home system. The event will be broadcast live on the Samsung Newsroom website and the Korean giant's YouTube channel.

Samsung could specifically introduce a variety of new TVs, home appliances, laptops and smart home features at the show. The company has previously announced that its SmartThings platform will eventually be compatible with almost all of its home appliances for a better and more connected smart home. A quarter of a year ago, it launched a variety of BESPOKE home appliances that have enhanced smart home features. Recently, the Korean giant also announced that it has integrated SmartThings with the new smart home standard Matter.

Over the past few months, Samsung has connected SmartThings with the Alexa and Google Home apps using Matteru's Multi Admin feature. This means that when a user adds a smart home device compatible with the new standard to the Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings app, it will automatically appear in the other two if they have accepted the terms of integration. This makes it easier to control smart home devices.
