As you probably know from our previous news, Samsung is working on a new wireless charger called SmartThings Station. A few weeks after she got Bluetooth certification, has now also received a "stamp" from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Its certification revealed some of its specifications and what it will look like.

FCC certification revealed that the SmartThings Station Charger (EP-P9500) will support Zigbee wireless communication standard, WPT (Wireless Power Transfer) function, Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac. However, it did not reveal the most important thing - the charging performance.

Additionally, the charger could be able to communicate with the SmartThings mobile app and allow users to monitor their device's charge level. It would also make sense if it could turn wireless charging on and off. The first photo of the charger is included in the certification documents, although it is not quite visible due to the "geometric" labels. Anyway, it can be read from the image that the device has a rectangular shape with rounded corners and seems to resemble a tablet.

The charger could be launched alongside Samsung's next flagship series Galaxy S23 or a little later. The Korean giant has already confirmed that the series will be revealed to the world in February.
