Samsung Galaxy Watch is one of the best smartwatches that can measure a really large number of activities. However, there are not only ordinary ones and those that you can do in warm weather, but of course activities on snow and ice were also thought of.
From the appropriate tile, you immediately have quick access to activities such as walking, hiking and cycling. Along with running, these are certainly the most common activities you will be doing. Then you can still find an offer here Další. When you open it, you will see many options. You probably won't find any winter sports here either, at least in our case with the model Galaxy Watch Classic4 p Wear OS 3.5 and One UI 4.5 did not.
When you then swipe all the way to the right at the bottom of the list, you'll find an option here Add. If you choose it, you will see a list of many sports, which are sorted alphabetically, gradually including winter sports and other winter activities. It is about:
- Alpine skiing
- Skater
- Skating
- Cross-country skiing
- Hokej
- Ice Hockey
- Skiing
- Snowboarding
- Snowshoes
- Dancing on ice
If you click on the given activity, it will automatically be added to your list of activities. If you select the gear icon for an activity, you'll see a goal setting, exercise screen, guidance frequency or audio guide, but this may vary depending on the activity selected. As soon as you select it, you will start it right away. As you can see, a multitude of winter sports that you can help Galaxy Watch to measure, it is really comprehensive and Samsung has thought of everything except perhaps sledding.
If Samsung does not reconsider its approach ala "without a Samsung mobile phone, the watch is useless" (or half of the interesting functions are intentionally blocked), then this watch will never achieve the full success and full popularity that it could have.
Unfortunately.
Making some basic functions unavailable to owners of non-Samsung phones really doesn't make sense and will discourage many people from buying (and others who don't find out about this in advance after buying will be very upset). What to think about it, or at least explain this intention? Likewise, the addition of an increasingly popular activity - riding a scooter, which would certainly be more useful for more people than "hang-gliding", which is among the activities.
It is nice that there are several "profiles" to choose from in the watch, but what quantities do they measure?
I guess just heart rate, time, calories and distance…
One profile is enough for me.
