Although the technology is not yet widespread, major tech companies are slowly but surely introducing it to more and more flagship smartphones. For example Apple sells its iPhone 14 in the USA only and only with eSIM. Although Google took the lead with eSIM support in the Pixel 2 phones, Samsung has done a lot of work in this regard recently and now has the most compatible devices in its list.

To make it easier for you, we've rounded up all the current phones with the system Android, which offer eSIM support. And what is an eSIM (electronic Subscriber Identity Module)? This is the part that acts as an interface between the phone and the operator. It's basically the same as a regular physical SIM card, only instead of a chip in the phone that reads and writes the data stored on the SIM card, a chip inside the phone is used. The eSIM card also contains a 17-digit code that indicates the country of origin, operator and unique user ID. This allows the phone company to bill you and identify you on the network.
