Smartphone manufacturers are doing everything to keep customers interested in buying their next product. Focusing on unique foldable phones is one possibility, then of course they also hear about the performance and quality of the cameras. Since many of the functions of the flagships have been transferred to the middle-class model lines, it is necessary to push the technologies a little further.

The middle class already has not only 120Hz displays, but also stereo speakers or a 108 MPx camera. Apart from zoom cameras, which the middle class still lacks, regular Samsung smartphones don't lack much. After all, what Samsung demonstrated this year with Galaxy A33 and A53, gives the opportunity to take really high-quality photos even to those who do not need to spend on S-series models.

But we have the opportunity to use Samsung's latest smartphones, not only with regard to the top series, but also the middle class, and it is true that the just mentioned duo of smartphones can really be enough for many undemanding users. This is even more so if you share photos via communication platforms or publish them on social networks. Quality is secondary here. Yes, in complex scenes and those at night, an experienced eye will recognize some of this deficiency, but then again, consider the price difference, when the S22 Ultra was two-thirds more expensive than Galaxy A53 at the time of the start of sales.

Improvements at the request of marketing

As we approach the launch of the range Galaxy S23, especially in the case of Galaxy S23 Ultra, I'm starting to realize that the supposed jump from a 108 to a 200MPx camera is something that actually leaves me completely cold. It looks like Samsung is doing this upgrade just to have any news to introduce at all and what the marketing in particular will rely on in the future rather than a really purposeful news. Of course, the company will present it with the maximum of superlatives, but it has already done so many times in the past, while Space Zoom is unable to convince.

Flagship smartphones with Androidem just aren't as exciting as they used to be and the fact that most people are actually with the results of their main camera on any Samsung phone Galaxy satisfied, be it mid-range or flagship models, means that the South Korean manufacturer should focus on something a little different. We have a lot of variability here, that's not what it's about, but why not go the opposite way? Rather than just making the pixels smaller and giving more of them, keeping them the same number but making them bigger so that they capture more light and thus give a better result?
