Google has significantly improved its watch operating system Wear OS when he worked with Samsung. Now it looks like he wants to improve it even more. He bought the Finnish company KoruLab, which has experience in developing user interfaces for smart watches and other wearable electronics that run smoothly with limited resources and consume extremely low amounts of energy.

“Today's announcement reinforces Google's commitment to Finland and advances our platform Wear OS forward with the help of Koru's unique low-power user interface expertise,” said Antti Järvinen, manager of the Finnish branch of Google, about the acquisition. It looks like Google will use KoruLab's expertise to Wear The OS ran with fewer resources and consumed less power. Thanks to this improvement, the smart watch with Wear OS, i.e Galaxy Watch, could run faster and have significantly better battery life.

KoruLab currently has 30 employees, all of whom are now moving to Google. The founder of the company is Christian Lindholm, who previously worked with Nokia. The chairman of the board is Anssi Vanjoki, who is said to have had a long-term influence on the board of Nokia.

KoruLab previously worked with chip firm NXP Semiconductors and customized its solution for them. Her work so far on the technological scene has been more than successful, so we can hope that this will also be reflected in the Google operating system.
