A few years ago, Samsung expanded its line of flagship smartphones with another model that was branded as the "Ultra". It happened as in the series Galaxy S, so next to the line Galaxy Notes. Although the latter has already been definitively terminated, Samsung has decided to continue the link Galaxy Note model Galaxy S22 Ultra.
With the launch of a new flagship phone, Samsung has further diversified its flagship range. Basically, here we have the Ultra, which represents the best in conjunction with the S Pen, the basic series, which is a full-fledged high-end, plus the Z Fold and Z Flip folding devices that score with their constructions. Although the second mentioned model falls into the high-end with its price, it is not for everyone, but with its equipment.
Ultra instead of series Galaxy A
In order not to cannibalize sales, Samsung had to find the right balance between all these models. For devices such as Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 to Galaxy S22, we've seen that all of these models really are able to stand out on their own enough to not overshadow the others. The company has proven to be more than capable of taking this formula and refining it for multiple iterations. There is no indication that it will launch three separate flagship models Galaxy S did not continue in the following years. But maybe it's time for Samsung to repeat the formula with its foldable smartphones.
Advice Galaxy Z Flip seems like an ideal candidate for this. The price starting at CZK 27 is high enough for the Ultra model. At the model Galaxy Z Fold, whose price already starts at 44 CZK, it can be somewhat difficult to climb even higher. Samsung could even lower the starting price of its foldable phone to make it more affordable for customers, while giving those who need more the option to buy an Ultra model - actually going a different route than introducing a foldable phone series Galaxy A.
What would Ultra be better at?
Let's assume that this happens already this year and we'll see Galaxy From Flip5 Ultra. What could Samsung offer to make this model stand out on its own? The external display is an integral part of the clamshell folding device. Other than that, it would like better cameras and battery life.
But it's very likely that such improvements would require the phone to be heavier and thicker than existing models. And is this what we really want? Customers who need only the best could accept this compromise. For those who are satisfied with the "basics", they will surely be satisfied only with what Samsung prepares for them in the model Galaxy From Flip5.
Both models should ideally offer a similar level of durability and maintain a degree of water resistance. They should also use the same premium materials. Ultimately, you get what you pay for. Of course, it would be ideal to derive it from the lower price of the basic version, and not just increase the price of the possible Ultra, but given the current economic situation, it is very difficult. But logically, it might actually be more useful to expand the range Galaxy Z instead of some folding device penetrating the line Galaxy A.
Mainly, Dex could finally appear on the flip.
Certainly, at least with the Ultra, but it is questionable precisely with the focus of the basic model. The average user who just wants a "different" phone will probably never use DeX.
It should mainly be written about the problems with the display and how Samsung is dealing with it. They provided the display with a protective film, which began to peel off after a few months. If you tear off the film, it will void your warranty on almost everything, especially the display. After a year, the display is broken and Samsung wants NOK 11 for the repair. The film is only an alibi, because a lot of people tear it off and thus Samsung doesn't have to repair anything. And another thing is that you don't want to go to the service center every four months with a film for 000 NOK. They don't have it figured out and it should be known.
And that's what I want for the replacement of 11 hundred. The first one is free, the second one is paid. I tore off the film, put on a hydrogel one, and the display is broken, so I can't use my phone and Samsung will never do it again.
