At the beginning of February, Samsung's biggest event of the year is planned. He is about to introduce a new line Galaxy S23 to be the best mobile phone of 2023. Learn all about Galaxy S23 Ultra, i.e. the most equipped model of the series.

Design and display

Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy The S23 Ultra will be under the name according to the leaker taking to Twitter Snoopy Tech available in four main colors (as confirmed by the recently leaked new renders): green (Botanic Green), cream (Cotton Flower), purple (Misty Lilac) and black (Phantom Black). In addition, they will be offered (at least according to the head of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young) in four other color variants, namely grey, light blue, light green and red. However, these colors will most likely be exclusive to Samsung's online store and only available in a few countries. It looks like Samsung has changed the design language for the S23 and S23+. Along with the S23 Ultra, they should have the same rear camera design as the Galaxy S22Ultra. The basic and "plus" models should have a flat display and rounded corners, while the Ultra model will apparently have a design that is at first glance indistinguishable from its predecessor. However, unlike it, it could have a slightly flatter display. It should be the 6,8-inch one with QHD+ (1440 x 3088 px) resolution.

Chip

There was a surprising amount of hype around the chipset, but quite rightly so. Samsung usually relies on Qualcomm's latest flagship processor around the world except in Europe, where it still relies on its own Exynos chip. Not so this year. Reports suggest that even if Samsung wants to start relying on its own solutions again, it doesn't look like that will be the case this year. Earlier rumors about the S23 suggested that the company would stick with Qualcomm - in this case the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, for all markets. We already know the Geekbench results. The 8GB version of the next Ultra reached 1521 or 4689 points. The system will Android 13 with One UI 5.1.

Memory

According to the leaker Ahmed Qwaider will be the top model of the range Galaxy S23 Ultra, available in 8+256GB, 12+256GB, 12+512GB and 12+1TB memory versions, with the latter being the most common. This would be a clear improvement, as previous Ultras only had 128GB of storage in the base variant.

Battery

Apart from the energy-saving chip in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, we probably won't see a bigger increase in endurance. AT Galaxy The S23 ultra should therefore remain the same, because the designers will not come up with more internal space here, probably also due to the presence of the S Pen. The capacity will thus remain at 5000mAh. No higher than 45W fast charging is expected.

Cameras

The main improvement will be the 200MPx main camera. This should be the as-yet-unreleased ISOCELL HP2 sensor, not the ISOCELL HP1 seen in the recent Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. We expect the performance to improve when taking photos and videos in low light conditions, and of course this will also affect the digital zoom level. Galaxy The S23 Ultra is said to be able to shoot time-lapse videos of the sky, which will reportedly build on the astrophotography features Samsung has made available on existing models Galaxy With Ultra via Expert RAW. However, it is not clear if it will keep the astrophotography feature separate through the said app or add it to the series' default photo app Galaxy S23. The series is also intended to give users more control over imaging parameters. Samsung's smartphones have offered an advanced Pro photo mode for a long time, and now this mode is set to be made available for the front camera.

As for the front camera, it looks like the 40MPx from last year's model Galaxy S22 Ultra will disappear. Galaxy Rather, the S23 Ultra could switch to a 12MPx sensor, which prioritizes quality over the sheer number of available megapixels. Specifically, a larger sensor would let in more light, allowing for better low-light shots while also taking advantage of a wider field of view.

Sound

According to the leaker Ice universe she will have Galaxy S23 Ultra improved speakers with better sound, especially at lower frequencies (bass), and improved sound recording. It should generally offer a better multimedia experience even without connecting to headphones or external Bluetooth speakers. The next highest "flagship" of the Korean smartphone giant is also said to have an excellent set of microphones. This improvement should come in handy for those who use apps like Samsung Voice Recorder and the chat recording feature. Likewise, it should bring a better audio experience for videos recorded by the onboard cameras.

Price

Poslední informace claims to be the ultimate Galaxy The S23 Ultra will carry a price tag of 1 won ($599). At the same time, it was the turn of last year Galaxy The S22 sold for 1 won in South Korea. So if these rumors are to be believed, the upcoming series will be more expensive than last year's. At least in Korea. The conversion to CZK is questionable in this regard, because here we pay extra for VAT and perhaps even a two-year warranty. However, last year's model started at 452 thousand CZK, so it is possible that the novelty will simply be more expensive. After all, the same strategy is being used by Apple with its iPhone 14. However, we expect that Samsung will not go so high and the price will rise by a maximum of CZK 1.
