They are one of Samsung's expected mid-range smartphones this year Galaxy A54 5G a Galaxy A34 5G, which will replace last year's very successful models Galaxy A53 5G a A33 5G. Here's a summary of everything we know about them so far.

Design
Galaxy A54 5G a Galaxy The A34 5G should look practically the same from the front Galaxy A53 5G and A33 5G, i.e. will have flat displays with slightly thicker frames and a circular or teardrop cutout. Screen Galaxy The A54 5G should have a diagonal of 6,4 inches (which would be 0,1 inches less than its predecessor), an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. AT Galaxy The A34 5G, on the other hand, has an increase in screen size from 6,4 to 6,5 inches, which will apparently also have an FHD+ resolution and a slightly lower refresh rate – 90 Hz.

The back of both phones should differ from their predecessors, in that instead of a quadruple camera, it will "carry" only a triple camera (most likely, the depth sensor will "drop out") and that the cameras this time will not be embedded in the "island", but will stand alone. Galaxy The A54 5G should otherwise be available in black, white, lime and purple and the A34 5G in black, silver, lime and purple.
Chipset and battery
While Galaxy The A54 5G will apparently run on a single chipset – the Exynos 1380 –, Galaxy The A34 5G is said to use two, namely the Exynos 1280 and the Dimensity 1080. The latter will reportedly power the version sold in Europe and South Korea. Battery u Galaxy The A54 5G should have a 100 mAh higher capacity than last year, i.e. 5100 mAh, the A34 5G should have the same capacity, i.e. 5000 mAh. Both phones will apparently support 25W fast charging.

Cameras and other equipment
Galaxy The A54 5G should have a camera with a resolution of 50 (with OIS), 12 and 5 MPx, with the second to serve as an ultra-wide-angle lens and the third as a macro camera. The primary camera would thus be downgraded because Galaxy The A53 5G boasts 64 megapixels. The front camera will probably be 32 megapixels. Camera u Galaxy The A34 5G should have a resolution of 48 or 50 (with OIS), 8 and 5 MPx and a 13 MPx selfie camera. Both the rear and front cameras of both phones should support 4K video recording at 30 fps. The equipment will apparently include an under-display fingerprint reader, NFC, stereo speakers, and water resistance according to the IP67 standard should not be missing.

When and for how much?
Both phones should be launched as early as next week on January 18. Neither is priced at the moment, however given the minimal improvements they are expected to bring, it can be expected that they won't be more expensive than their predecessors. Let us recall that Galaxy The A53 5G went on sale in Europe for 449 euros (about 10 CZK) and the A800 33G for 5 euros (just under 369 thousand CZK).
