Qualcomm launched its latest flagship chip two months ago Snapdragon 8 Gen2. Just a moment later, she appeared on the air informace, that the next flagship series of Samsung Galaxy S23 will run on special version of this chip, and now it looks like it really will.

Website 9to5Google claims to have seen a document in which the chip is for the series Galaxy S23 listed under the name Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. According to unofficial information, this version of Qualcomm's current flagship chipset has a slightly higher clock speed (specifically, it is supposed to have the main processor core and the graphics chip), which in theory should lead to higher performance.

The website also mentions that this chip could be manufactured using Samsung's 4nm process instead of TSMC's 4nm technology. However, this contradicts the anecdotal informacemi, according to which it will be manufactured by TSMC, the biggest rival of the Korean giant in the field of semiconductors.

For more than a decade, Samsung has been delivering its range of phones Galaxy With and (and until 2020 also series Galaxy Note) in two versions: Snapdragon (for the US and China) and Exynos (for the rest of the world). At the row Galaxy S23, which the Korean giant will introduce in less than two years weeks, however, it will be different - in all markets it will use the mentioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. This move will certainly be welcomed by many users who have complained about the performance of Exynos and their energy efficiency in the past.
