Samsung announced that it has already raised more than 10 million dollars (just under 300 million CZK) for its Global Goals (or Sustainable Development Goals) program through the Samsung Global Goals application. Global Goals is a UN initiative that the organization came up with in 2015. It is supported by 193 countries and aims to solve seventeen global issues by 2030, including poverty, health, education, social inequality or climate change.

To help achieve this vision, Samsung partnered with the United Nations Development Program and in 2019 launched androidSamsung's Global Goals app, which allows users to donate money to any of the seventeen global issues that the Global Goals initiative aims to address. Using in-app payment methods, it is possible to contribute to support any global goal with as little as one dollar.

The Samsung Global Goals app is currently installed on nearly 300 million devices Galaxy worldwide, especially on smartphones, tablets and smartwatches. Through it, Samsung informs users about global goals and at the same time enables them to take small, practical steps towards big changes. In the application, users can contribute directly or through advertising, either on wallpapers or directly in the application environment. In addition, Samsung matches all finances earned from advertising in the same amount from its own resources. Next informace and instructions on how to join donors can be found here page.
