Google has announced that it is introducing the ability to require a fingerprint to access incognito tabs in Chrome for Android. Finally, all those who use devices with this system will see it, because for iOS the company introduced it already at the beginning of 2021.

The feature simply requires you to unlock access to anonymous tabs with your fingerprint after reopening your browser. However, there's also a Show other tabs option on the incognito home screen, as well as a drop-down menu to close any private browsing or open settings tabs. Of course, force closing Chrome will also continue to remove all anonymous pages.

This is a feature that you have to turn on in Settings -> Privacy & Security. Activation or deactivation requires your verification. The feature is being rolled out to users gradually, so it's not widely available yet, but basically you just have to wait a while. In addition to this, Chrome also extends its security checks with more personalized recommendations and reminders of what you've previously shared with sites.
