Advice Galaxy The S is one of Samsung's most popular smartphone lines. It is also one of the most consistent. Over the years, Samsung has introduced, and also discontinued, a number of models but phones Galaxy S are always here with us. They are the ideal representative of the vision of the company's flagship smartphones.

Advice Galaxy S is not the best seller, it is the range Galaxy And with more affordable models. Even so, its models are among the best-selling smartphones of the brand, and which, thanks to their price, bring Samsung great profits. He continued to modernize and refresh the line over the years. In recent years we have seen that since the launch of one flagship Galaxy S got up to three separate models, which after all included the entire series Galaxy Notes.

But with the passage of time, problems also grew. There are many more competitors in the market now than a few years ago. Some of them are quite capable devices, with specifications that match or even surpass Samsung's flagships (at least on paper). Even Google, from whom Samsung licenses software for its phones, is trying to steal from Samsung and its line Galaxy With customers. OnePlus, for example, just a month before the launch of the series Galaxy The S23 introduced its flagship for 2023 just to get some head start on Samsung.

Trend change

However, market oversaturation is not the only challenge for Samsung. Most customers no longer change their phones every year. They are content to keep them for at least two years or even longer. Technological progress is not so fast anymore, which has also led to an overall decrease in the demand for smartphones. Series phones Galaxy S are also expensive, no need to hide that. With the current state of the world economy and the fact that it's harder for people to justify such spending, it's no wonder that Samsung's sales are falling as well.

Yes, all the leaks we've seen so far, and there have been a lot of them, don't hint at any groundbreaking improvements that would come from Galaxy S23 immediately made a line that will crush the competition to the first good. The quality of the design will be unrivaled and the materials will certainly be premium again. But that's the least you can expect from a Samsung flagship phone. Galaxy The S23 seems to be more of an evolutionary upgrade, and that's a good thing.

Regardless of the Ultra model, the new design of the back will define the range and unify it more, which in our opinion is only positive (although we are not sure if it is appropriate to do the same with Áček). Again, especially for the basic models, there won't be too many changes compared to last generation, but Samsung knows what it's doing. Instead of investing significant sums in the development of new technologies, he brings only minor changes. They will be here, and they will be for the better, but the bigger one will surely await us next year or rather the year after.

Clear strategy

We may not like it, but the market is where it is right now. It can't be expected that a groundbreaking design and great equipment will save it, and Samsung knows it. So it will only bring generational but still visible changes that will not cost it so much to keep its place and ideally balance development expenses and profits. Thanks to this, he will survive the time of crisis to attack everyone in full display. If the smaller players go out of their way now, they cannot succeed if there is no interest from customers.

He has a big problem in this regard Apple. He is preparing a series of iPhone 15 for this September, which should include iPhone 15 Ultra with a titanium body and other supposedly revolutionary technological improvements. It's supposed to be a certain anniversary edition, similar to what we saw with the iPhone X, i.e. the iPhone 10. But when the market is down, people have deep pockets and every expense is covered, it's a rather unreasonable step to increase the price of the device unnecessarily.

Samsung probably won't present us with anything revolutionary on February 1, which would make us sit on our backs. But let's remember last year, when it completely ditched its most equipped classic smartphone, that is Galaxy S22 Ultra. So is it necessary to come up with something diametrically different right after a year? I am of the opinion that no. I look forward to seeing what comes next year, whatever I have in hand Galaxy S21 FE, S22 Ultra or some model of this year. I'm always excited for what Samsung will introduce, as well as what comes next.
