On Monday, January 30, Samsung held a special event for journalists to introduce the series Galaxy S23. We had the opportunity to touch all three models, the most interesting of which is, of course, the largest and most equipped one. So here are our first impressions of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Design

As if he had lost sight of his predecessor? Absolutely, there are a few details here, but the like won't see them. So here we have new color variants that are based on inspiration from nature, where the green one is really nice, black or phantom black remains, then there is cream and purple. In addition, green is in no way limited to the storage or indeed the model, so this entire quartet of colors is available for the entire trio of models regardless of their variants. The edges are then u Galaxy S23 Ultra less rounded. The device generally holds a bit better. But it's a small thing that mainly results in more space for the display, S Pen and cooling.

Display

In the conditions of the Chapter studio, when artificial lighting is used and in bad outdoor weather, you practically cannot tell the difference in the display. It's still the pinnacle that Samsung can make and fit into a mobile phone. Nothing more, nothing less. Subjectively so from the model Galaxy The S22 Ultra hasn't changed anything. But only direct sunlight will show this.

Cameras

At first glance, the camera lenses are the same size and in the same place, but in the final they are larger and are moved a little lower. Of course, you won't see it without a direct comparison. The main thing is what results they will provide. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try this, because the phones still had pre-production software and we couldn't download data from them. Of course, this also applied to the One UI 5.1 operating system. So we will have to wait for the tests as part of the review, which we will of course bring to you in the foreseeable future - also with regard to the front camera.

Performance

Here we have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which is more powerful than its standard version. Samsung should have worked a lot on its cooling, which, of course, we won't judge after a while of testing even with regard to the capabilities of the chipset itself and how it will handle the most demanding tasks. But it looks very nice on paper and you can really believe that there is something to look forward to.

The best in the world Androidu

First impressions of Galaxy The S23 Ultra can't be bad. Already Galaxy The S22 Ultra was a great piece of hardware whose ills only began to surface over time. But we certainly don't have to worry about the biggest thing, i.e. performance. So the S23 Ultra is the S22 Ultra on steroids, whether you like it or not. It looks a lot the same and does practically the same thing (including the S Pen), it just improves it in every way. And that's what we actually want from the second generation of the phone that combined the S series with the Note series.

Of course, there will be those who will criticize that it is the same, that there are few improvements and that it is expensive. There is no reason to argue here. Either you play this Samsung game or you don't, no one is forcing you to do anything. But when you hold the new Ultra in your hand, it's immediately clear that it's the best in the field Android phones for this year. It will be very difficult for Samsung and other manufacturers, but the South Korean manufacturer has a really good footing.
