Users Androidu can customize and tweak almost every aspect of it to their liking. Android 13 QPR2 beta revealed some new personalization options aimed at Pixel phones, including the ability to change lock screen shortcuts. Third beta version Androidu 13 QPR2 have now revealed more information about this possibility.

As previously described, Google plans to add a new Shortcuts option to the Settings→Display→Lock Screen section. From there, Pixel owners will be able to change the lock screen shortcuts to one of the pre-specified options. Specialist in Android Mishaal Rahman has now posted screenshots showing what the page in question will look like.

The user will have to individually select the left or right hotkey and then assign an action to it. The software giant doesn't seem to have any plans to let users use their own app shortcuts. Instead, there will be predefined options like Do Not Disturb, Device Control, Flashlight, Camera and None. This is the area where customizing Samsung's superstructure lock screen One UI trumps Google's implementation. One UI enables phone users Galaxy place your own app shortcuts on the lock screen.

In addition to being able to change the shortcuts on the lock screen, Google is also working on allowing users to use their own clock on the lock screen. To that end, it plans to redesign the wallpaper and style settings menu and split it into two: Lock screen and Home screen. Stable QPR2 update Androidu 13 should be released next month.
