Going dual SIM on your smartphone can be a quick and easy upgrade to its connectivity. With the expansion of digital eSIM support to more and more phones, it has never been more convenient to operate a smartphone on two different mobile networks. As you may have noticed, Google released the first developers a little while ago preview Androidu 14, which improves the Dual SIM function. How?

First developer preview Androidat 14 (referred to as Android 14 DP1) adds a new switch for dual SIM users Switch mobile data automatically (automatically switch mobile data), which basically does what it says: When the system encounters connection problems on one SIM, it will be able to temporarily switch to the other (perhaps) stronger network. Although only data is mentioned in the name of the feature, its description implies that this redirection will also apply to voice calls.

We are quite curious what the metric will be Android 14 to use to evaluate the quality of the connection and whether it will wait until the data largely drops out, or whether it will be able to proactively determine that the other SIM's network is stronger and then connect you to it. However "it" measures up, dual SIM users will certainly welcome this feature.
