We are not long ago they wrote, how One UI 5.0 and One UI 5.1 significantly improve Samsung's DeX desktop mode, and how we're glad the Korean smartphone giant is still developing it. The regime has a large base of users who do not allow it. It's even more frustrating that it lacks a very basic function.

Samsung DeX is a productivity tool supported by a range of smartphones and tablets. And with such a tool, it is expected that it will also be able to record the screen. As incredible as it may sound, DeX lacks this basic feature. It's all the more special because the One UI extension has a built-in screen recorder normally available from the quick launch bar. However, it doesn't work in DeX for some inexplicable reason. There have been a few workarounds in the past that allowed DeX users to screen record using Samsung's native solution, but unfortunately these no longer work.

We can only speculate as to why screen recording is not available in DeX. It's possible that Samsung sees this as a security issue, or perhaps found the feature to be too performance-intensive in DeX at some point in the past. Whatever the reasons, we believe the Korean giant can find a solution to add screen recording to its desktop mode and it won't take too long.
