On Friday, February 17, a sharp sale of Samsung's new products began in the form of a series Galaxy S23. Perhaps you already own one of these models and are trying to figure out how to properly protect the display. The answer to this question is simple. PanzerGlass on Galaxy The S23 Ultra clearly benefits from a less curved display.
You may remember our glass pro review Galaxy The S22 Ultra, which clearly suffered from the fact that Samsung had the sides of the display curved, and it was quite difficult to set the glass on the display. Now you don't have to worry about that at all - after all, also for the reason that you will also find an installation frame in the package. There is practically no room for error.
Rich packaging, easy application
In the product box, of course, you will find the glass itself, but apart from it, you will also find an alcohol-soaked cloth, a cleaning cloth and a dust removal sticker. Then there is the installation frame that will help you with the correct application of the glass. Instructions on how to turn on higher touch sensitivity in the device are also included (Settings -> Display -> Touch sensitivity). In our case, it was not necessary even after applying the glass, because it reacts perfectly. Instructions on how to apply the glass itself can be found on the back of the package. But it is a classic procedure.
With a cloth impregnated with alcohol, you can first thoroughly clean the display of the device so that no fingerprint remains on it. Then you polish it to perfection with a cleaning cloth. If there are still dust particles on the display, here is the sticker. Then it's time to glue the glass. Therefore, you first place the phone in the plastic cradle, where the cut-out for the volume buttons clearly refers to how the phone belongs in it. You then peel off the first foil and place the glass on the phone's display. Just make sure you hit the shot for the selfie camera, otherwise you won't go wrong. From the center of the display, press your fingers on the glass in such a way as to dislodge any bubbles. Especially around the fingerprint reader.
If you didn't manage to position the glass perfectly with last generation, you found out by its clicking in the corners and you had to try again. You don't have to deal with anything similar here, because Samsung straightened the display more. Finally, just peel off the foil marked 2 and take the phone out of the plastic molding. You put it on the first time and in no time.
It also has a fingerprint reader
You can try to better adhere the glass to the display in the area for the fingerprint reader, where even according to the attached photos you can see bubbles after applying the glass. Just take the enclosed cloth and run it more strongly over the space, but not so that you move the glass, which can also happen in the beginning. But if you don't want to stress about it, you don't have to. You just have to wait.
After a few hours, even the bubbles that are present begin to disappear, after a few days the area of the fingerprint reader was already clean and without unsightly bubbles. Even so, it should be taken into account that you will simply see the wheel for scanning the fingerprint on the glass at certain angles, but definitely less than it was with Galaxy S22 Ultra. Of course, it is advisable to read your fingerprints again after applying the glass.
PanzerGlass on Galaxy The S23 Ultra falls into the Diamond Strength category. This means that it is triple hardened and will protect the phone even in drops of up to 2,5 meters or withstand a load of 20 kg on its edges. There is also a coating with a special antibacterial treatment and, of course, full S Pen support. Glass is also not a problem in the case of using covers, and not only by the manufacturer PanzerGlass.
It's easy to say that you won't find anything better, even considering the history of the PanzerGlass brand. AT Galaxy In addition, the S23 Ultra does not have problems in the corners of the curved display, and the space for the fingerprint reader is less noticeable. The price is then 899 CZK.

I bought with a new S23 Ultra and had it glued straight away in the store. At first I was a bit annoyed by the visible fingerprint wheel. After two days the prints stopped working. On the third day, the display did not work, i.e. it did not respond to touch, or it was necessary to tap hard and repeatedly. On the fourth day, the funny payment pan fell on me by itself. Throw away 900, - and never again!
I have the same experience, they stuck it directly in MP. Back to the screenshield from datart
After more than a week with the tested piece, everything works as it should. But yes, the wheel is just visible and you just have to get used to it.
It's a shame that Samsung didn't stop at the fact that it provided the phone itself with a protective film as part of the package. On my previous S21 Ultra, the film lasted 2 years without the slightest problem…
I had it for two days, the fingerprint reader didn't work, the next day it "snapped" off the glass, claimed. I was said to be third that day. The money was returned, with the fact that it is still a scam and an invisible shield film was glued instead.
Same experience. It completely spoils my impression of using the phone. The really visible reader is an abomination, the touch is noticeably distorted and the reader works badly. And I already have a scratch on it, I don't know where. Worst waste of money for me.
Raise the touch sensitivity in the settings.
So now all the petty benefits will be taken out of pocket, when it went full speed ahead in the evaluation like a camera
Why hide the phone with straight glass on a curved display or foil when it is equipped with durable glass from the factory?
Because the glass is not durable either.
When a person buys a phone for 35k, they are logically worried about it. So I decided to invest and bought PanzerGlass glass, case and lens protection for 2000 CZK. And it's...it's horrible. The glass for 900 CZK peels off in place of the fingerprint wheel. I know that the ring is there and should be visible, but the texture after peeling off the glue is also visible. When I press it, it disappears a little and in a few tens of minutes it is back. In addition, you can see all around where the glass is glued, because the glue is not all over the surface. About 1 mm at the edge, the glass is already without glue. And you can see a lot of it.
The lens protection is a fingerprint magnet. It's constantly dirty and I have to remember to clean the glass every time I shoot, otherwise the photos and videos are foggy. The glass that directly covers the lenses is far more resistant to fingerprints.
And the case? That wouldn't be so bad, it's sturdy and will probably actually protect the phone to some extent in the event of a fall. However, the long sides of the display have clearance, and every time you take the phone in your hand, the case slams against the phone's frame.
I really can't recommend PanzerGlass and my experience is purely negative. You just don't want this on a premium phone.
And if, as your reader, I can allow myself a little constructive criticism, the reviews of these products do not look objective in the slightest, and everything is too smelly with "mp.cz" haze.
I didn't have a good experience either, wasted 900 crowns, the fingerprint reader stopped working after 3 days and then in order for it to work at least a little, I had to give 4 new fingerprints every day... Never again
