We're not the only ones impressed with the pace at which Samsung is rolling out the One UI 5.1 build update. He started releasing it in the middle of last week and many devices have already received it Galaxy. Korean Giant plans to complete the update process by the beginning of next month.
It's common for users to encounter bugs when an update is released so quickly. And it seems that this is also the case with the One UI 5.1 update. Some users complain that after installing it, the battery life of their devices has significantly decreased.
On the official ones forums Samsung and other community platforms like Reddit have been seeing posts in recent days where users are complaining that their device's battery life has noticeably decreased after installing the One UI 5.1 update Galaxy. It looks like this issue is affecting a range of phones Galaxy S22 and S21. Some users mention that their devices get a bit hotter as a result.
At this time, it is not entirely clear what is causing the excessive battery drain on the mentioned devices. Anyway, it is certain that the new version of One UI is causing this problem as the devices were fine before the update. One user on Reddit pointed out that after installing the update on his device significantly rose battery consumption when using the Samsung keyboard. It is possible that this is the root cause of the problem. Samsung advised him via live chat to clear the keyboard's cache and data and reboot the device.
Keep in mind that this will erase any custom languages or keyboard layouts you have previously set up. Samsung doesn't seem to see this issue publicly as a bug, but it's very likely that internally it does and that it's already working on fixing it. You've noticed your phone's battery draining excessively Galaxy, especially Galaxy S22 or S21, after updating to One UI 5.1? Let us know in the comments.
I am also noticing my S22 draining faster. In addition, after the update to One UI 5.1, routines started to annoy me. Specifically, I have a routine set to turn on the screen rotation when the video starts - off by default. But the routine does not end after closing the application, I have to end it manually. After that, it won't start automatically for a change. In One UI 5.0, everything worked as standard.
Thanks for the info, we'll hopefully fix this in future updates.
S22 has tragic endurance even without 5.1. I don't see anything like that on the S22+. 5.1 for me is fine tuning
I'm having trouble synchronizing the do not disturb mode with my watch. If I do it manually, it's fine, but if the routine turns on the mode, it's activated only and only on the phone
I agree with what was written above. Same problem detected on S22 regarding mode and routines
S21+ after the update to One UI 5.1, I don't notice anything, restarted twice, the speed of the system is also ok.
I'm seeing an increase in battery life on my S22 plus after the update. Last night I had 56% with all day use. For me, the update was really great.
On the S22U, after upgrading to OneUi 5.1, everything works as it should, I don't notice any problems, the battery life is absolutely amazing.
I'm just downloading it to my S20FE
Such a question... does the 20G network work for you on the S5FE? The lady has and neither the A12 nor the A13 with UI5.1 receives 5G, it is enabled everywhere and only 4G...
Me on s21U and S23U 5G with no problem...
S21Ultra. After the update, everything is fine. Rather, I feel that the battery will last longer.
For me, the endurance of the S22/256 is fine.
S22+, overheating and over discharging hit me after January update. I had a very new phone so I tried a factory reset with restoring apps from Samsung cloud backup and since then even after the recent update to 5.1
So far, the battery and everything else is fine with my S20FE
Can I ask for info on whether everything is OK on the mentioned mobile phone after the update? Thanks
This is the S20FE
It doesn't reduce me, still the same on S21 Ultra and S23 Ultra👍🙂
Same here
I have an S20FE 5G and after updating to UI 5.1 my battery won't last a day. I was horrified that she would leave after a year, but as I read, it is the update.
Everything is fine on the S20 Ultra 5G 512GB, I would even say that the battery lasts longer
Yes, the battery does not last long on the s 23 ultra
S22 ultra….with 5.1 battery lasts approx. minus 20%
