Samsung is expected to launch the phone soon Galaxy A54 5G, the successor to last year's very successful model Galaxy A53 5G. Here are 5 things we should expect in it.

New back design
Galaxy According to the renders leaked so far, the A54 5G will look exactly the same from the front as its predecessor, i.e. it should have a flat screen with a circular hole and a slightly thicker chin. It should differ in the design of the back - it will apparently be equipped with three separate cameras (the predecessor had four, which were embedded in a rather large module). Otherwise, the back and frame should again be made of plastic (albeit again of high quality and premium looking) and the phone should be offered in four colors: black, white, purple and lime.

Smaller display
Galaxy The A54 5G should, somewhat surprisingly, have a smaller display than its predecessor, namely 6,4 inches. The screen should therefore shrink by 0,1 inch year-on-year. Its specifications should otherwise remain the same, i.e. 1080 x 2400 px resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness.
Faster chipset and bigger battery
Galaxy The A54 5G should use Samsung's new mid-range Exynos 1380 chipset. According to the first measurement significantly faster than the Exynos 1280 that powered the predecessor. The chipset should be supported by 8 GB of operating system and 128 or 256 GB of expandable internal memory. The new chip should be the phone's biggest improvement.
The battery should have a capacity of 5100 mAh (however, some leaks say it will remain at 5000 mAh). It should support fast charging with a power of 25 W. In this regard, no change should take place.
A more capable camera despite the lower resolution
Galaxy The A54 5G will apparently have a main camera with a resolution of 50 MPx, which would be a fairly noticeable downgrade compared to last year (primary camera Galaxy The A53 5G boasts a resolution of 64 MPx). However, various indications suggest that the phone will take photos at least as well as its predecessor, and even significantly better in low light conditions. The main sensor should be accompanied by a 12MPx ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MPx macro camera. The front camera should have a resolution of 32 MPx.
Higher price
Price Galaxy The A54 5G will reportedly start at 530-550 euros (about 12-600 CZK) in Europe. The phone should therefore cost a little more compared to its predecessor (Galaxy A53 5G specifically went on sale in some countries of the old continent for 469 euros). Samsung would - along with its sibling Galaxy A34 5G – could be unveiled at MWC 2023, which starts at the end of February, but March seems more likely.
