Samsung's next "flagship" foldable smartphone Galaxy The Z Fold5 will undoubtedly have S Pen support. There was hope among fans of the Korean giant that this would finally be the first puzzle to have a dedicated slot for the S Pen. However, according to a new report, we can forget about that.

According to a new report by Korean website ET News cited by the server SamMobile Galaxy The Fold5 will not have a stylus slot. Samsung reportedly had plans for its presence, but had to abandon them because it could not create enough space inside the device. The only option would be to increase the dimensions of the phone, and this is said to be a step that the company does not want to take at the moment.

As SamMobile notes, another option would be to make the S Pen thinner, but that would reduce the "pen on paper" feel that Samsung wants to achieve with its stylus, he says. Insiders also say that building an S Pen slot increases production costs, so Samsung would either have to cut margins or raise the price for customers.

Otherwise, the next Fold should have a new design hinge or significantly higher distinction main camera. Together with the fifth generation clamshell puzzle Galaxy The Z Flip is expected to be introduced in the summer.
