The popular payment app Google Wallet continues to expand to new markets and a version for the watch system Wear The OS is now available in several new countries. In total, it is currently available in 60 countries around the world.
In a short blog contribution Google has said that Wallet support for Wear OS is expanding to several new countries, namely Costa Rica, Ecuador and Kuwait. Together with them, the application is now available in six dozen countries.
Support for the Wallet is spreading around the world quite quickly. As recently as last August, it was "only" available in 45 countries. Including new additions, the application spread to Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Malta and Cyprus in half a year. The American technology giant reminded in the post that the Wallet is available on watches with the system Wear OS 2 after pairing with phones with Androidem or iOS and on watches with the system Wear OS 3 (which are, for example, series Galaxy Watch4 to Watch5) after pairing with androidmy phones. Of course, the Czech Republic is also supported. It is the expansion of the service that is important in that it is possible to pay with the service everywhere, that is, where you do not have to carry money or payment cards with you and just with a smart watch. A supported country is one thing, of course it is another for local merchants to accept the service.
