Samsung introduced its first audio product this year. It is the Sound Tower MX-ST45B portable speaker, which has an internal battery, has a power of 160 W and thanks to Bluetooth connectivity can connect to TVs and up to two smartphones at the same time.

The battery of the Sound Tower MX-ST45B lasts up to 12 hours on a single charge, but when the device is running on battery power and not connected to a power source, its power is half that, i.e. 80 W. The ability to connect multiple devices via Bluetooth is a great party trick, as well as built-in LED lights that match the tempo of the music. And if you're brave enough, you can sync up to 10 Sound Tower speakers for an extra loud party.

In addition, the speaker received water resistance according to the IPX5 standard. This means it should withstand low pressure water jets such as accidental spills and rain. Its dimensions are 281 x 562 x 256 mm and its weight is 8 kg, so it is not a complete "crumb". It has a 3,5mm jack and comes with a remote control, but lacks optical input and NFC connectivity. It also supports music playback from USB and AAC, WAV, MP3 and FLAC formats.

At the moment, it looks like the novelty is only available through Samsung's online store in Brazil, where it is sold for 2 reais (roughly CZK 999). However, it is likely to reach other markets soon. Brazilian customers who purchase Sound Tower before March 12th will receive a free 700-month premium Spotify subscription.
