Huawei has faced many restrictions in recent years, especially in connection with the Trump administration. It was banned from the American market and other countries began to restrict it as well, which logically led to billions in losses. At the same time, Huawei cannot use American technology as a system Android, Google services, etc. However, this giant has not yet been broken.

In its heyday, Huawei was a real competitor not only for Samsung and Apple, but also other Chinese players, such as Xiaomi and others. But then came a blow that knocked him to his knees. The company has had to adapt and bring its own operating system to market, while dealing with the endless challenges of securing the parts and components it wants to use in its solutions. These sanctions imposed on Huawei were of course a gift to its competition.

Not all days are over

The brand's founder recently stated that the company is still operating in "survival mode," and will continue to do so for at least the next three years. One would think that a company in this position would rather lick its deep wounds and play it safe. But Huawei was at Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona unmissable.

Its "stand" here occupied half of one exhibition hall, and it was perhaps four times larger than Samsung's. Not only new phones were on display, but also jigsaw puzzles, smart watches, smart home devices, accessories, network devices and more. Even here, the major part was devoted to its own operating system and a demonstration of how the company expanded its ecosystem of applications in an attempt not only to survive, but to bring an alternative to iOS a Androidu.

Here, Huawei showed not only its currently burdensome presence, but also its vision of the future. Despite everything we've heard about the brand over the years, it's not advisable to bury it just yet. It clearly shows that he is still here with us and will be at least for a while. It is also positive in the sense that if it regains at least a little of its past glory, it could create some competition precisely for the operating systems, of which we only have two here, and that is really not enough.

It shows that even certain blows can have a positive impact, and maybe Samsung could learn something from this. Perhaps it relies too much on Android Google, which is at its mercy. So let's hope he doesn't just leave everything to his will and secretly forge his own solution at home, if the worst happens, he'll be ready.
